Game Folder on the Same Drive

Step One

  1. Open Steam.
  2. Located on the Top Left. Navigate to Steam, Settings, Downloads and select Steam Library Folders.
  3. Count the number of Steam Library Folders. Write the number down as YourNumber.

Step Two

  1. Close Steam.
  2. Create the folders for the Custom Steam Library in the desired location.
  3. Create a folder called SteamApps in the last folder.

Step Three

  1. Navigate to \SteamApps\ and find LibraryFolders.vdf.
  2. Open LibraryFolders.vdf with Visual Studio Code.
  3. Add the Purple Line under ContentStatsID.

If the Purple Line already exists, add the Purple Line directly under "ContentStatsID" "YourContentStatsID".

Step Four

  1. Replace YourIndex with YourNumber from Step One.
  2. Replace YourHardDiskLetter with the desired Hard Disk Letter.
  3. Replace YourFolder with the desired folder path. See Folder Path Examples.

Step Five

  1. Open Steam.
  2. Located on the Top Left. Navigate to Steam, Settings, Downloads and select Steam Library Folders.
  3. Right Click on the Steam Library Folder you created. Select Make Default Folder.

  1. For One Folder - C:\Games\ to C:\\Games\\
  2. For Multiple Folders - C:\Games\Steam\ to C:\\Games\\Steam\\
